About Scott
Scott Murphy’s work is grounded in real life experience — not theory.
Scott works with clients across Tasmania and Australia through online coaching sessions.
He grew up in rural Tasmania, surrounded by small business, hard work and the realities of everyday life. From an early age, he developed a practical mindset, a strong work ethic, and a deep connection to the outdoors — all of which continue to shape how he works with people today.
Over the years, Scott has built a diverse career across retail, hospitality, management, accounting, consulting, tourism and small business ownership. This broad experience has given him a clear understanding of the pressures people face — whether that’s work, relationships, direction, or simply trying to keep things together when life feels off track.
Alongside this, Scott has spent many years working on his own personal development — navigating setbacks, relationship challenges, and periods of self-doubt. That lived experience is a key part of what he brings to his coaching. He doesn’t approach people from a textbook — he meets them where they are, with a focus on what’s real and what will actually help.
Today, Scott runs two businesses.
Through Tasmania Fly Fishing, he guides clients on the water and shares his passion for nature and the outdoors.
Through All Round Guide, he offers one-on-one coaching sessions designed to help people get clear, make decisions, and move forward.
His approach is practical, grounded and structured. Sessions are focused on understanding what’s going on, identifying where someone feels stuck, and working out a way forward that fits their life — not an idealised version of it.
Scott tends to work particularly well with men, including younger men, who are navigating pressure, responsibility, direction and change. However, he works with anyone who connects with a straightforward, no-nonsense approach.
His qualifications include an Advanced Diploma of Business (Accounting), certification as an NLP Practitioner and Coach, and experience in training and small business management. These support his work, but his focus remains on practical outcomes rather than theory.
Outside of work, Scott values time with his children (now grown up), family and the outdoors. Whether guiding on the water or working with clients, his aim is simple — to help people feel more clear, capable and back in control of their direction.
Coaching Terms & Session Guidelines
To keep things simple, clear, and focused on getting the most out of each session, the following applies:
Sessions & Bookings
Coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom or Google Meet unless otherwise agreed.
All sessions are booked in advance and confirmed once payment has been received.
Payment
Payment is required in full prior to each session.
To confirm your booking, payment must be made within 24 hours of invoice issue and no later than 48 hours before your scheduled session.
This keeps things straightforward and allows us to focus fully on the session itself.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Changes made with more than 48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled at no cost
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the session will incur the full session fee
This reflects the time set aside specifically for your session.
Late Arrivals & Missed Sessions
If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time.
If you miss a session without notice, the session is forfeited and charged in full.
How Coaching Works
Coaching is focused on practical guidance, clarity, and forward movement.
It’s not therapy or counselling. If deeper clinical support is needed, I may recommend appropriate services.
Most people only need a few sessions to get traction. From there, we can continue if it’s useful — no pressure either way.
Responsibility & Approach
Coaching is a collaborative process. The outcomes depend on your willingness to engage, reflect, and take action between sessions.
Clear, respectful communication is expected from both sides.
Updates
These guidelines may be updated from time to time and will be reflected here.
